So, we added shelves to our landing closets and I reorganized my sweaters. It's a good thing I made space, because I bought two new sweaters today. Yes, I do wear them all. Yes, I do live in Southern California. It gets cold here, okay? No, it was not supposed to be a place for Bruno storage.

Okay, I'm guilty! I've taken up a new needle craft: tatting. I'm needle tatting right now, and it's going great. I do think I'll learn with a shuttle too. First--it sounds fun, and second, I imagine that shuttles are more welcome on airplanes than 5 inch needles--blunt or not! I don't know why I always think of travel; I never actually go anywhere. Sigh.

I've just learned how to wind a ball of yarn on a nostepinne. I've done center pull balls for a long while by hand, but always had tangles when using. This is my second attempt on the nostepinne and I'm really pleased with how it came out. This time I went for the square corners so it's less likely to roll. :) As you can see, my nostepinne is a fancy one--a wooden spoon with a fat handle.

Bruno thinks that my new yarn is his new yarn. You should have seen him glare at me when I made him give it back.

Et voila! My new shawl project is finished: Traveling Woman in medium with Lorna's Laces fingering in the colorway Twilight.

My latest knit project--here's a shrug to make my little blue dress a little less little! It was a fun knit, but I had some issues with the finishing. But, it's done and beautiful now.

Well, I'm not sure if shopping is a "feminine art," but here are some of the cool things I bought today at the Hawaiian festival!

Here is a picture of today's breakfast. It's primal, and except for the coconut oil, it was lovely. The coconut oil tastes good, it's just, well, oily. The mango and the kefir were the best parts. That is salt and pepper on the kefir---mmmmm. Yes, that's tea. Cavemen drank tea. Duh.
