Okay, I'm guilty! I've taken up a new needle craft: tatting. I'm needle tatting right now, and it's going great. I do think I'll learn with a shuttle too. First--it sounds fun, and second, I imagine that shuttles are more welcome on airplanes than 5 inch needles--blunt or not! I don't know why I always think of travel; I never actually go anywhere. Sigh.

I've just learned how to wind a ball of yarn on a nostepinne. I've done center pull balls for a long while by hand, but always had tangles when using. This is my second attempt on the nostepinne and I'm really pleased with how it came out. This time I went for the square corners so it's less likely to roll. :) As you can see, my nostepinne is a fancy one--a wooden spoon with a fat handle.

Bruno thinks that my new yarn is his new yarn. You should have seen him glare at me when I made him give it back.
